Ethical dilemmas often arise in negotiation, challenging us to balance competitive strategies with personal and professional integrity. This lesson focused on the importance of ethical behavior in building trust and sustaining long-term relationships. While achieving favorable outcomes is essential, navigating ethical considerations with transparency and fairness is crucial for maintaining credibility and respect.
1. Recognizing Ethical Boundaries
A key part of ethical negotiation is understanding where to draw the line. While tactics like anchoring or persuasive framing are widely accepted, others—such as intentional deception or withholding critical information—can cross ethical boundaries.
